Crossed Positions (TV proposal)

´Dear Sir/Madam

We are writing in order to present you our brand new idea for a television show. As we have been informed, you are looking for an entertaining, exciting and catchy programme directed to teenagers, and we are sure we have just what you are looking for.

Mainly, the show would be a weekly hot debate held by teenagers. We believe that the programme will create a sense of belonging among adolescents because it is meant to be a free space for them to express any idea they want.

As it is already known, teenagers can get really passionate in their stands, so we suggest having a presenter who will act as a mediator when the debate gets too heated. The name of the show would be “Crossed Positions.” Besides, we have thought of a slogan to be said by the presenter; it would be, “Crossed Positions: the only place without restraints.”

Furthermore, we are strongly concerned with the power and influence that social networks have on teenager’s lives; and we are aware of the popularity of these communicative tools, so we would propose our young adults to choose the topic of each debate online. They would be also able to join the debate and share their ideas through Facebook and Twitter, among other communicative channels.

Although our main objective is to make an enjoyable, pleasant and relaxing show, we wish the topics of the debates to be related to common problems concerning a teenager, such as ethical values, dysfunctional families, eating disorders, development of sexuality, substance abuse and bullying, and so forth.

We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. Any suggestion or idea will be evaluated with gentle and positive disposition.

Yours faithfully,

the ideas-producers company.

  1. The letter is very clear. The only thing I noticed is the way you use DIRECTED when you say "....directed to students..." I´m not sure that´s how it´s used. But most probable (100% sure)I´m wrong. I´ll check and let you now.
The idea for the show is amazing!! There is not much space in our tv for teenagers to express their opinions. I thik is great you thought of them.

  2. I think your TV show would be really interesting since there are no place in TV for them as Carolina said. Besides, teenagers are so brave that it would be positive to know what they think about certain topics not just to let them express but to learn from them. They are also very creative and sensible.

  3. A place for teenagers on T,V,? I want to see that, for sure, They don´t have a place to express themselves on t.v. (as Caro and Ana mentioned before), it would be very intering hear them talking about any topic. I have a question...Who would be the perfect presenter for the show?

  5. Hello people. Great idea for a teenage show. I imagine the show and the very first thing that comes to my mind is that nice sense of belonging that teenagers create when they talk without restraints. Teenagers come with really interesting ideas. They have a completely new way of thinking that might surprise you. Everyday I hear the suggestions the students make to me and let me tell you that I am nicely surprise. The only thing I can tell you about the style is that I do not like the repetition of "so we" twice in the same letter. Maybe, it does not affect anything at all but I just do not like that.

  6. I laughed at Sabri and Eli's comments! It's true, when we talked about the perfect presenter, we all chose Santiago del Moro. I guess my opinion was not based on the same reasons than the girls' though, haha.

Woah Ale! I really appreciate your comment for two reasons: on the one hand, we are always paying attention to repetitions, and we didn't notice that one; and on the other hand, you should've read our writing very carefully to realise that! Haha, thank you!
