Dear Sir,

We are writing to introduce you an amazing idea for a new television show. We are a group decided to change the concept people have about teenage reality programs. The title of the program will be “the young voice”. Every now and then, when it comes to musicals realities the judges have always been successful adults that in most of the cases do not understand teenagers at all. Our idea is to present a TV reality in which adolescents will be judged by famous teenager’s pairs. At first, this idea of broadcasting a show hosted and judged by teens my sound hilarious, because experts will argue that teenagers cannot decide or judge what is good or bad for them. However, if we want to gain viewers, we need to show young adults that we rely our trust on them.

The “young voice” will be a TV reality show searching for the most talented singer. The winner will be part of a world tour with young musical artists such as One direction, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, etc. The TV program will last no more than 20 episodes and every 2 episodes a participant will be eliminated. The judges, who will be famous teen singers, will decide who has done the best performance and who will leave the show.

We would welcome the chance to work as part of the channel network where we could make a significant contribution to the entertainment industry. We hope you consider our idea.

Yours sincerely,

Anahí Laprovitta, Cintia López and Lucía Garay

  1. We also thought of a musical competition show!!! Hahahaha!! I think that tells a lot of us! The only thing to say (from my point of view) is that you didn´t write the show´s name in capital letters. Maybe that was on purpose, I don´t know!! The letter is very clear and the show would probably have a los of audience if you bring the stars you named. Adolescents will love it!!!

  2. Such a good work! I think that any president of a network would be impressed with this kind of persuasive arguments for a show. The ideas that you come up with are good and very attractive. I think adolescent will defenitely watch the show if they recognize the famous teenager’s pairs. Another good point is the prize the show offers to the winner of the reality. Since the prize is touring with the singers that have marked their adolescence, They will eagerly strive to win the competition. No doubt.

  3. Great idea having young judges! If teenagers can vote, why not?
I woul consider the word team instead of group in the second sentence since it means "a group of people who work together"

  5. The idea is amazing! Since there are no adults in the show, teenagers will have a huge responsability when deciding which participant keeps on the competition.
Regarding the letter, I think that the name of the show should be in capital letters and there is a missing letter in line 6. I think the correct word should be "may" instead of "my". Apart from that, the letter is clear and goes straight to the point. Well done girls!

  6. Oh, I was going to highlight the same thing Pao has just done. I usually have that kind of mistakes, because when I write, I keep on saying aloud the things that I write, and for example, I may write "de people" instead of "the people," or something like that. Anyway, the pronunciation of may is /mei/. So in case, you've pronounced it wrong all your life, it won't happen again.
With respect to the letter, it was clear, very formal and attractive, and I don't have anything else to say. Oh yes, great job, girls! Keep on that track! I really liked your job.
